The New York Knicks continue to build their coaching staff under new head coach Mike Brown while searching for the right pieces to transform their offensive system.

After facing several rejections in their pursuit of assistant coaches, the franchise appears close to landing a significant addition.

“The Knicks and Chris Jent are moving closer to an agreement to add Jent to Mike Brown’s staff, according to a source. Jent, a one-time Knick, would be the team’s offensive coordinator. When Brown coached the Sacramento Kings, Jordi Fernandez was in charge of the offense,” Frank Isola wrote on X.
