Kim underwent offseason shoulder surgery before signing on with the Rays on a two-year, $29 million contract. The 29-year-old infielder is expected to make his debut with Tampa Bay sometime in mid-June and should step in as the team’s primary shortstop upon his return. Kim is currently on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham.
