Iowa State ranks fourth entering the tournament (behind clear 1-seeds Duke, Michigan and Arizona). The NCAA Tournament selection committee did a good job of keeping the regions relatively even, as the average TRACR of the South Region is 29.3 for seeds 11 or higher, compared to 29.9 for the Midwest, 28.6 for the West, and 28.8 for the East.
