49ers Stun Fans with Unexpected Roster Shakeup — Who’s In and Who’s Out?
Joseph enters a direct competition with Moody, who has served as San Francisco’s primary kicker for the past two seasons.
In 14 appearances last season, Moody converted just 24 of 34 field goal attempts. His accuracy issues were consistent, missing five kicks from 40 to 49 yards and another five from beyond 50 yards.
This marks a significant regression from his rookie season, when he missed four kicks total after he was a third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Joseph took a winding path through the league in 2024, spending time with the New York Giants, Washington Commanders and New York Jets.
