Cowboys’ All-Pro Defender Drops Cryptic Hint Amid Contract Extension Talks: What’s Next?

Look, the Dallas Cowboys’ offseason drama just doesn’t quit, does it? Micah Parsons wants out, which has everyone buzzing, but here’s a twist: DaRon Bland, the All-Pro cornerback, is quietly gearing up for his own contract showdown. You have to wonder—how long can the Cowboys keep dancing on the edge, waiting until the eleventh hour to seal these deals? It’s a gamble that’s cost them plenty before, both in cold hard cash and fractured locker room vibes. So, with Bland hoping for that extension before Week 1, are we staring down another high-stakes poker game, or will Dallas finally learn to play its cards a little smarter this time around? Buckle up—this saga’s far from over.

The Dallas Cowboys have plenty on their plate right now.

Micah Parsons doesn’t intend to budge, and he wants out of the Lone Star state.

But while everybody’s focused on the superstar pass-rusher, another star defender is also looking to get paid.

As reported by JPA Football, star CB DaRon Bland also wants to get a contract extension.

When asked about his situation, he said that he would ‘hopefully’ get his new deal before Week 1.

So, while he hasn’t done a lot of talking, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see him holding out as well.

The Cowboys have a long history of waiting until the last second to get deals done with their players.

Not only has that cost them much more money, but it has also damaged their relationship with their stars.

They could’ve just done things like all other teams and signed the players before someone else sets a new record.

Now, they will be forced to meet a much higher asking price for Parsons, and maybe even for Bland.

While he’s not likely to reset the cornerback market after Sauce Gardner got a new deal, the DB market skyrocketed this offseason, and the Cowboys could’ve saved plenty of money by just getting this done months ago.
