Colin Cowherd Drops Surprising Pick for This NFL Season’s Most Dominant Team—You Won’t Believe Who Tops the List!
Is Colin Cowherd onto something, or is it just early-season hype creeping in? After Week 1’s fireworks, many eyes were glued to the usual suspects lighting up primetime — the Ravens, Bills, Bears, Vikings — but then came Thursday night’s quietly commanding statement from the Green Bay Packers. Cowherd, no stranger to calling ’em like he sees ’em, boldly pegged the Packers as the most impressive team so far this season. Now that’s a tall claim when you consider Jordan Love’s poised play, Josh Jacobs’ relentless ground game, and a defense bolstered by Micah Parsons making waves. Are the Packers finally stepping through that door to contention they’ve been knocking on? Let’s unpack why this story might just be the NFL’s early-season revelation — or perhaps Cowherd’s latest hot take to stir the pot.

The NFL season is heading into Week 2, and excitement levels are high on the heels of a pair of outstanding primetime games in Week 1 from the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills on Sunday night and the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings on Monday.
As impressive as some of those teams were, another NFC contender put on a second consecutive dominant performance on Thursday to kick off Week 2 and has Colin Cowherd labeling them the most impressive team thus far.
On Friday morning’s episode of The Herd, Cowherd asked if any team in the league has been more impressive than the Green Bay Packers thus far, after they throttled the Washington Commanders 27-18 on Thursday.
“They have now totally shut down last season’s No. 1 and No. 2 most efficient offenses. Last night was the youngest team in the league against the oldest, and it looked like it.”
Is there anyone more impressive than the Packers so far this season?

Jordan Love has looked poised through two games, throwing four touchdowns without turning the ball over, while Josh Jacobs continues to be one of the most consistently productive running backs in the NFL.
The defense looks like a championship-level defense so far with the addition of Micah Parsons, and while it’s clear he is still getting acclimated and the Packers aren’t putting too much on his plate right away, his presence might be exactly what this team needed to put it over the top.
The Packers have been knocking on the door of contention over the past couple of years since Love became the starter, but this looks like a team taking that logical next step.
It’s tough to argue that any team has looked better than the Packers thus far, but it’s still early, and we’ll see if anybody else sticks out in Week 2.
