Cade Cunningham has spent all four of his years in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons and has been through a lot with them.

He loves his teammates, his franchise’s legacy, and the city he plays for.

Cunningham recently talked about the Pistons and their loud, loyal fans.

“This is like the most passionate city I think you could find sports wise. I think we have the iciest best looking city too. You come to a Pistons game, everybody they dress well, they cheer hard. It’s just different,” Cunningham said.

A lot has changed since Cunningham came to Detroit in 2021-22.

First of all, the team has transformed into a real threat in the Eastern Conference, and they finally made the playoffs last season.

This came just a year after they earned a record for having one of the worst seasons of all time.

It was a huge turnaround, and only possible because of new coaching, new players, and a belief throughout the locker room.

Cunningham was a huge part of the success, too, because he has also only gotten better.

Last year, he posted 26.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 9.1 assists and earned an All-Star appearance.

Through the good and the bad, Pistons fans have cheered for their team, knowing that brighter days were ahead.

It looks like it’s finally paying off, but there are worries of Detroit slipping back in 2025-26.

Cunningham and his teammates don’t want that to happen, and they know they are building something special in Detroit.

He wants to reward the fans who have been passionate and resilient.

They have been waiting for this moment, and Cunningham is going to make it worth it for them.
