Iowa basketball has a new talented point guard in its sights in the 2027 class.

The Hawkeyes offered Jason Gardner Jr. on Sunday evening out of Fishers High School in Indiana. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound point guard added the Iowa offer to a list that also includes schools such as Indiana, Ohio State, Purdue, Notre Dame, Creighton, Oklahoma State and Texas.

Per 247Sports, Gardner is the No. 26 player nationally, the No. 3 combo guard and the No. 2 player in Indiana in the 2027 class. According to Rivals, Gardner is the country’s No. 72 player, the No. 18 point guard and the No. 4 player from Indiana.

Gardner is also a member of the Indiana Elite Adidas 3SSB grassroots program and he recently picked up an invite to USA Basketball’s Junior National Team minicamp from Oct. 10-12 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
