NFL analysts and fans had mixed opinions on Jordan Love heading into the 2025 NFL season.

Some believed that he could turn into an MVP candidate, that the Green Bay Packers‘ offense was going to take another step forward, while others were skeptical of his ability to rise to the occasion.

While his performance against the Cleveland Browns has left a bad taste in fans’ mouths, including his questionable fourth-quarter interception, he played lights out and mistake-free in the first two weeks of the season.

These “big-time throws” are a metric that PFF puts out that analyzes a player’s propensity to not only throw the ball downfield, but also their ability to be accurate with those passes.

Quarterbacks also get judged in this stat for throwing said balls into tight windows, which Love has excelled at to this point in the season.

He might not have the rushing floor and upside of players like Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson, but Love has started to figure it out at the highest level, which could spell trouble for opposing teams down the stretch.

The Packers’ receiving room might look like a rag-tag bunch at the moment, but if he can keep finding open receivers and hitting them in space, it doesn’t matter who’s catching the ball.
