Davis received a lot of attention online recently as fans got their first look at the protective eyewear that he will wear, as mandated by his doctor.

These brand new glasses will take care of Davis’ eyes, and he will be wearing them for the rest of his NBA career.

Davis just underwent some pretty serious eye surgery, and the doctors said that he needs to have these on at all times during games.

He has worn glasses like this before because, sadly, his eyes have been injured multiple times.

The good news for Mavericks fans is that the glasses won’t get in the way of Davis’ greatness.

He will still be able to score, defend, and clog the paint.

However, he will need some time to adjust to this new eyewear.

Thankfully, he has a few weeks before the new season begins, giving him plenty of time to figure out how it feels to wear these during every minute of every game.

As everyone knows, injuries aren’t new for Davis, and he has sadly suffered quite a few throughout his career.

Hopefully, this is the only issue he has to deal with in the new season.

He missed a chunk of time last year right after coming to the Mavericks, and Dallas hopes that is completely behind him.

They want Davis to be a major part of their plans in 2025-26, which means they need him and his body at 100 percent.
