Is Lonzo Ball back to reminding us all why he once had the league buzzing? The Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t exactly shake the roster tree this summer, but this scrappy guard might just be the fresh breeze they needed to stir things up in 2025-26. Training camp whispers are turning into outright buzz—Ball’s making waves, proving he’s more than just a comeback story. Sure, the nagging question of his health looms large — can he dodge the injury bug and consistently shine on the court? The Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t make significant changes this summer, but they did add some new talent that could significantly help them in 2025-26.

Lonzo Ball is looking to make a splash in the new season and remind the league what a special guard he is.

According to a new report, Ball is turning heads and getting people talking at the Cavaliers’ training camp.

“From what I continue to hear, Lonzo Ball is somebody who continues to turn heads. He continues to show how he can be an effective fit for this team. Obviously there are questions about how much is he going to play in the regular season, is he going to play back-to-backs? Can he make it through a regular season fully healthy, but he’s showing glimpses of why, number one, he’s a better, more impactful player than Isaac Okoro,” via Chris Fedor.

It’s great to hear that Ball is looking so good, although a few promising days at training camp don’t mean a long, fruitful season.

As everyone knows, injuries will remain a big concern for Ball throughout his upcoming campaign.

If he can stay in good shape, he might earn crucial minutes with the Cavaliers and reclaim his title as one of the best guards in the league.

He hasn’t been on the floor much lately.

Last year, he returned to the court after two seasons away and averaged 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists during his 35 games.

He started in just 14 of those matches and seemed comfortable being part of the second unit.

That’s likely where he will stay with the Cavaliers, although there is a chance that he earns starting minutes too.

Everything depends on how well he plays and how healthy he is.

Right now, Ball is doing all the right things, and he just needs to keep it up.
