Countdown Begins: 2026 Four-Star Tennessee Basketball Target Drops Unexpected Commitment Date!
When it comes to stocking up the Tennessee basketball roster for 2026, the Vols are clearly hustling—no messing around. Enter Latrell Almond, a dang impressive four-star power forward who just can’t seem to stop putting Tennessee in the conversation. Alongside heavy hitters like Oklahoma State, Maryland, Virginia, and Indiana, Tennessee’s name sits snugly in Almond’s top five favorites. The 6-foot-8, 225-pound dynamo from Petersburg High School in Richmond, Virginia, is set to drop his commitment news come October 13, and you bet folks are on the edge of their seats for that announcement. What’s fascinating is how quickly it’s all coming together—Tennessee offered Almond back in late September and snagged an official visit a bit earlier. Think about it: a prospect ranked No. 6 at power forward nationally and No. 2 in Virginia, with a haul of Power Five offers that reads like a who’s who of top college basketball programs.
