Illinois Basketball Unveils Secret Tip-Off Times and TV Spots – Don’t Miss a Moment!
Alright, here’s the deal — the 2025-26 Illinois men’s basketball schedule has been locked in for a while now, but just recently, the tip-off times and the broadcast slots have been unveiled. And let me tell you, the Illini are set to light up your screens across a slew of major networks: ESPN, CBS, FOX, FS1, Peacock, B1G Network, and B1G+. That’s a whole buffet of media coverage right there! Among the non-conference matchups, keep an eye on that early Black Friday tip against UConn at 11:30 a.m., followed by a prime-time battle with Tennessee on December 6th. As the Big Ten grind kicks in, Illinois faces a rather sparse Saturday home schedule—just two games, really—which isn’t exactly what fans hoped for. The season officially tips off with an exhibition game against Illinois State on October 19th and then launches into full gear on November 3rd at the State Farm Center versus Jackson State. Buckle up — it’s shaping up to be one heck of a campaign.

The 2025-26 Illinois men’s basketball schedule was finalized a few weeks ago, but the tip times and TV designations are now available.
The Illini will play games televised on ESPN, CBS, FOX, FS1, Peacock, B1G Network, and B1G+.
That breakdown is as follows:
There is one additional game (LIU) that will be on either B1G Network or B1G+.
Some notable non-conference tip times include an 11:30 a.m. tip-off against UConn on Black Friday and a 7 p.m. tip against Tennessee on Saturday, Dec. 6.
In conference play, Illinois has just two Saturday home games: a 3 p.m. tip against Nebraska on Dec. 13 and an 11 a.m. start against Minnesota on Jan. 17. Not exactly ideal.
The Illini are in action with an exhibition against Illinois State at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19. Their 2025-26 campaign officially begins on Monday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. when Jackson State comes to the State Farm Center on the first day of the college basketball season.
