Packers Star Defies Doubters, Drops Shocking Update on Injury Status
Injuries have been dogging the Green Bay Packers this season, especially along that supposedly sturdy offensive line, leaving fans to wonder—how much turbulence can a team endure before it truly takes flight? It’s no secret the line’s been more patchwork than powerhouse, spurring inconsistency and, yes, a fair share of exasperation. But amidst the chaos and nagging injuries, here’s a twist: Brandon McManus, the Packers’ kicker who’s been quietly stabilizing the ship post-Crosby, is shrugging off what some called a “major concern” about his quad injury. Seriously, can a kicker’s resilience and some well-timed swagger keep the Packers’ special teams out of the headlines for all the wrong reasons? As McManus braces for the Bengals, it seems the last thing Green Bay needs is a kick that misses the mark—because, let’s face it, in this punishing NFL grind, having a steady boot might just be the edge that separates a stumble from a surge.

The Green Bay Packers have had some poor injury luck to start the season, mostly on their offensive line.
They haven’t been able to roll out their optimal offensive line all year, which has led to some inconsistency, penalties, and at times, frustration.
While the offensive line has been the focal point of their injury concerns, other players have popped up on the injury report thus far, including Brandon McManus, their kicker.
McManus has been a welcome addition to the roster after experiencing some kicking woes once Mason Crosby left, adding a sense of stability to the kicking position.
Matt LaFleur had indicated that McManus was in a rough spot ahead of Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but McManus told reporters, including Matt Schneidman, who highlighted his comments in X, that he’s planning to suit up for this contest.
Brandon McManus tells us he plans to kick on Sunday. Asked about LaFleur saying his right quad injury is a “major concern,” McManus said he didn’t talk to LaFleur about his injury and that LaFleur has his own thesaurus.

McManus also noted that he and LaFleur didn’t discuss his injury, seemingly frustrated with his coach’s choice of words when talking to the media.
At the end of the day, McManus knows his body and what he’s capable of as a veteran kicker, so if he’s feeling strong, the Packers shouldn’t have any qualms about rolling him out in this game.
Consistency is key at any position in football, but it’s the most vital at the kicking position.
Kickers are never the highest-paid position on the team, and are often an afterthought, especially to fans, but having a bad kicker can be the difference between a fringe playoff team and a Super Bowl contender.
With the amount of game-winning kicks and special teams blunders thus far, fans are starting to recognize the importance of the position, and Packers supporters should be extra happy to have someone like McManus as their kicker.
