Unexpected Twist: Top 2026 Four-Star Power Forward Chooses Tennessee, Snubbing Auburn and ACC Heavyweights

Tennessee’s basketball recruiting class for 2026 just got a serious boost with the addition of four-star power forward Manny Green, who made his commitment official this past Friday. Standing 6-foot-6 and packing 205 pounds, Green hails from Cedar Grove High in Ellenwood, Georgia, and he edged out some notable contenders like Auburn, South Florida, Georgia Tech, and California to join the Vols. Ranked as the 15th-best power forward nationally and the fourth-best player in Georgia by 247Sports, he’s a prospect Tennessee has been eyeing closely since offering him a scholarship back in early July 2024. Prior to Tennessee’s offer, Green’s journey attracted attention from a slew of programs including Cincinnati — the first to extend a scholarship offer last summer — as well as Indiana, Clemson, Florida, LSU, and more. This signing marks Tennessee’s second commitment in the 2026 class, joining Ralph Scott, while their 2025 class is already shaped by six solid pledges. It’ll be intriguing to see how Green fits into the Vols’ vision moving forward. LEARN MORE
