The Denver Nuggets confirmed their commitment to Christian Braun the other day when they signed the young star to a five-year extension.

This was a big deal for the team as well as Braun, who sounds elated to remain in Denver.

Speaking to the press, Braun opened up about his desire to be with the Nuggets and his dedication to winning.

“It means the world to me. I think it’s validation at the end of the day. I got drafted here. I never changed schools or teams in high school. I never changed in college. And I don’t want to change in the NBA. I want to be here. I want to be a big part of winning. I want to be a really big part of what happens here and the success that happens in Denver. I want to be a Nugget my whole career. To do that, we need to win. That’s what I want to do. I want to win as a Denver Nugget, most importantly,” Braun said.

Braun was chosen as the 21st pick in the 2022 NBA draft and has turned into an important asset for the team.

Last season, Braun produced 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists for the Nuggets, starting in 77 of his 79 games

In just three short years, the 24-year-old guard has become vital to Denver.

He was set to become a restricted free agent after this season, but will now remain in Denver alongside players like Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, and others.

This season could be a huge one for the Nuggets, with some people predicting they might storm back to the NBA Finals.

The roster has never been better, and Jokic continues to be an MVP candidate.

This deal with Braun proves that the team likes the lineup they have and wants to keep investing in it.
