2025 Indiana Mr. Basketball Braylon Mullins Faces Mysterious Injury Ahead of UConn Debut—What This Means for His Future

Braylon Mullins, a towering 6-foot-6 dynamo and the reigning 2025 Indiana Mr. Basketball, just ran into a bit of a speed bump . An ankle injury sustained during practice has sidelined him for at least six weeks — a tough pill to swallow for UConn and fans alike, knowing he’ll miss key matchups against BYU, Arizona, Illinois, and Kansas. Mullins, who dominated the high school court with eye-popping averages — think nearly 33 points per game, alongside impressive rebounds, assists, and steals — was carving out a trailblazing season, lighting up the Greenfield-Central scoreboard like it was nobody’s business. Topping it off, he’s been christened the 2025-26 Preseason Big East Freshman of the Year, marking the third straight UConn player to earn this prestigious nod. It’s that kind of trajectory that gets you noticed — and I gotta say, missing these critical games feels like a real setback for this rising star. If you want the full scoop on Mullins’ journey and the latest updates, you know where to go.LEARN MORE
