But everyone was excited to see how incoming rookie Cooper Flagg could help, and many thought the team would do much better than some had predicted.

So far, the Mavericks have struggled, and they currently hold a 2-6 record, which makes them tied for the worst team in the West.

Speaking to the press, Flagg was honest about the disappointment he feels about losing, but he knows the season is still very young.

“For me, it’s the most I’ve lost since, I think ever. It’s obviously a lot different when you have to adapt to playing a lot more games. I wouldn’t say anybody’s happy. Obviously guys are trying to stay level-headed and know we have a lot more games to go and it’s still really early. Speaking personally, I know it’s not fun to just keep losing games,” Flagg said, via Mike Curtis.
