Raiders Defender’s Shocking Numbers Against Cowboys Raise Alarms Ahead of Season

So, here we are again, staring at the Las Vegas Raiders’ season like it’s a slow-motion train wreck that you just can’t look away from. Remember when everyone thought this year would be their comeback story? Yeah… about that. Instead of playoff glory, we’ve been gifted a masterclass in how things can go sideways. Case in point: cornerback Kyu Blu Kelly’s stats against the Cowboys on Monday Night Football—six targets, six receptions, two touchdowns. Ouch. And while Dak Prescott and company painted the field like it was their personal playground, the Raiders’ defense looked like it was caught napping. Makes you wonder—if every piece on the roster needs a fix, is there even a corner left that’s not cracked? Buckle up, because this season’s been nothing short of a comedy of errors wrapped in a Raiders helmet.

To say that this has been a disappointing season for the Las Vegas Raiders wouldn’t tell half of the story. They were expected to finally return to playoff contention, but that couldn’t be further from reality.

Everything that could’ve gone wrong for Pete Carroll’s team has gone wrong this season. For example, one Raiders defender had concerning stats in the Week 11 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on “Monday Night Football.”

“Raiders CB Kyu Blu Kelly in coverage tonight, via [Next Gen Stats]: 27 snaps, 6 targets, 6 receptions, 87 yards, two touchdowns,” Benjamin Solak wrote on X.

Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott did whatever he wanted in the win. When he wasn’t finding CeeDee Lamb for explosive plays, George Pickens was wreaking havoc in the open field.

Granted, the Cowboys have one of the most explosive offenses in the league this season. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer has them firing on all cylinders on that side of the ball. Then again, this was bad even by the Raiders’ standards.

Las Vegas has won two games this season, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to win many more. At least, the Raiders will be in the race to find a new franchise quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft.

But even if that quest is successful, there are just too many things to fix on the roster. Clearly, they can add cornerback to their long list of issues.
