The NBA season has been going on for about a month now, but Tuesday night was the first time that LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers played. The 40-year-old four-time champion was finally healed from his injury and ready to play, although there were concerns about how well he’d do.

No matter what, James was on the verge of making history at tipoff. That’s because James is now the first player in league history to play in 23 seasons.

But beyond that record, James did a lot for his Lakers during their 140-126 win over the Utah Jazz.

When the game started, there were many fans who wondered about James and if he would be able to immediately fit into the strong chemistry the team has built in his absence. As great as James has been throughout his career, there were worries that he just wouldn’t fit with the rhythm and connection Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves have established.

Those concerns were quickly put to bed, and James did big things during his 29 minutes on the court. He put up a double-double of 11 points and 12 assists.

It was the way that James passed that garnered so much praise. He was sensational when it came to assists and was finding his teammates as if he had eyes in the back of his head.

The rhythm was there, the passes were terrific, and the Lakers superstar seemed to be having fun. It was a very good night for the Lakers, who were happy to see James back with a smile on his face.

The Lakers are now 11-4 after their big win over the Jazz. James’ first game back didn’t just make history, it also made millions of LA fans very pleased.
