Warriors Eye Blockbuster Trade: Which Two Big Men Could Shake Up the Deadline?

Ever wonder if the Golden State Warriors’ frontcourt could use a serious power-up? Well, you’re not alone. After tweaking their roster this summer, it’s clear the Warriors aren’t quite where they want to be—and with the trade deadline looming, the team might just be gearing up to swing for the fences again. The buzz? Anthony Davis and Domantas Sabonis, two big men who could turn the tides for Steve Kerr’s squad. Now, considering Al Horford’s veteranship and his less explosive numbers this season, adding a younger, more dynamic presence upfront seems downright crucial. As teams around the league flounder, the trade carousel heats up, and Warriors fans—well, they’ve got every reason to watch those big men closely… because this could be the shake-up that pushes Golden State back into contender territory.

The Golden State Warriors made a few adjustments to their roster over the summer, but it seems that they aren’t as fully-formed as they’d like. That means they could be pursuing even more changes in the months ahead.

According to Evan Sidery, fans should keep an eye on certain big men across the league as the trade deadline draws closer. In fact, there are two names to consider right now.

Writing on social media, Sidery said that both Anthony Davis and Domantas Sabonis have been floated around as potential targets for Steve Kerr’s team.

“The all-in Warriors will be a team to monitor ahead of the trade deadline. Golden State needs to take another big swing on the market to vault into legit contender status. Anthony Davis and Domantas Sabonis have been floated around in league circles as potential trade targets,” Sidery posted on X.

The Warriors already acquired one big man during the offseason when Al Horford came to Golden State after his stint with the Boston Celtics. So far this season, Horford has produced 5.7 points and 4.1 rebounds.

Horford is 39 years old and not creating like he used to, so it only makes sense that the Warriors would want more power in the frontcourt. Both Davis and Sabonis are ideal fits for the team.

They are playing for under-performing teams, and there have been plenty of rumors about them leaving for greener pastures. The Warriors would have to part ways with some talent to make a trade for either, but it could be worth it.

As the season continues, Warriors fans will be paying close attention to the situations around Davis and Sabonis. If their teams keep deteriorating, trades could be even more likely.
