Late Monday night, the Alabama Crimson Tide and Gonzaga Bulldogs collided for each team’s opening game at the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A back-and-forth contest for a majority of the game, it was however Gonzaga who eventually came away with a win, defeating the Crimson Tide, 95-85, after pulling away during the latter part of the second half. The Crimson Tide also struggled from three in the loss by shooting only 31% (9-of-29), and were outrebounded by Gonzaga, 48-36.

Leading the way for Alabama was guard Labaron Philon, who finished with a game-high 29 points and seven assists on 11-of-18 shooting from the field. Aiden Sherrell, Amari Allen, and Aden Holloway also scored in double figures, while Keitenn Bristow led the way for Alabama with 11 rebounds.
