Top 2026 OT’s Stunning Commitment Flip Sends Shockwaves Through College Football Recruiting!
Brady Bekkenhuis just shook up the recruiting scene early Wednesday, pulling a last-minute switch from Boston College to the Wisconsin Badgers—talk about a game-changer! An offensive tackle in the 2026 class, Bekkenhuis’ flip couldn’t come at a more critical time as the Badgers brace for a significant turnover on their offensive line. With the Early Signing Period kicking off December 3rd, his commitment not only fills a glaring vacancy but also signals Wisconsin’s intent to bolster their roster with high-caliber talent under head coach Luke Fickell’s watchful eye. This move places Bekkenhuis as the fourth-highest ranked recruit for Wisconsin in ’26, sandwiched between two promising prospects and standing as their lone offensive line commitment following recent decommitments. With A.J. Blazek at the helm of the offensive line, this pick could very well fortify the trenches for seasons ahead—proving once again why the Badgers are a program to watch when it comes to strategic recruiting and field dominance. Early Wednesday morning, Boston College commit Brady Bekkenhuis announced his decision to flip his commitment from the Golden Eagles to the Wisconsin Badgers. Bekkenhuis is an offensive tackle in the class of 2026, whose Early Signing Period begins on Dec. 3.
Bekkenhuis becomes Wisconsin’s fourth-highest-ranked commit in the class of 2026, slotted between recent running back commit Qwantavius Wiggins and defensive line prospect Djidjou Bah. Additionally, with the recent decommitments of two offensive line prospects, Bekkenhuis is now Wisconsin’s only commit at the position.

Wisconsin is losing a fair amount of offensive line depth due to players graduating, so it is important for the offensive line coach, A.J. Blazek, to continue to reload in the always-important position room. The Badgers have proved that they can compete and win against ranked opponents in the past few weeks, so the next step for head coach Luke Fickell and his staff is to start landing higher-profile recruits at positions of need, just like they did with Brady Bekkenhuis.
