Utah St. Shocks the Nation, Seizes No. 1 Spot in The Other Men’s Top 25—What’s Next?

Alright, here’s the scoop you’ve been waiting for: Utah State just snagged the No. 1 spot in the men’s Other Top 25 rankings, knocking Saint Mary’s off their perch. It’s only the third team to claim this elite position all season — and let me tell you, the Aggies earned it. Wrapping up November with an impeccable 7-0 record, they edged past VCU by a slim margin early on, clinched the Charleston Classic with solid wins over Tulane and Davidson, then battled Montana State to overtime victory. That kind of gritty determination turns heads. Now, Utah State isn’t just riding high on momentum; their standings reflect it too — 22nd in NET, 34th in KenPom, and 51st in BartTorvik. Meanwhile, Saint Mary’s had to settle for second, with Dayton rising to third after grabbing a first-place vote. The shakeup continues as Belmont rockets from 23rd to 9th, undefeated and carving out wins in the Coconut Hoops tournament. So many shifts, so much excitement — this season is shaping up to be one for the books. Curious to dive deeper into the full rankings and shifts? LEARN MORE
