“To be the best,” Jeanty said. “To be the best that’s ever played the game.”

“For me, that’s always what I wanted out of playing sports. To be the best wherever I’m at. I feel there’s no reason to play the game if you don’t want to be the best, if you don’t want to compete. But I think in that there’s a lot of things that come with it. Being in the community, all that. Making others better around you.

“But I don’t just play for them. I play to be the best.”

Multiple teams have been mentioned as potential landing spots for Jeanty, including the Dallas Cowboys, whose running game ranked 27th in rushing yards (1,705), 30th in yards per carry (4.0) and 32nd in touchdowns (four), respectively, in 2024.

This might be a good spot for Jeanty, but time will tell where he ends up on April 25. Regardless of the team that picks him, he’s set clear goals for his professional career.
