Eli Manning’s Advice For Arch Manning (0:21)

The Arch Manning era has arrived at Texas.

With Quinn Ewers off to the NFL Draft, the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning is set to take over for the Longhorns at starting quarterback. Arch Manning, a former five-star recruit, committed to Texas over Alabama, LSU and others. He played sparingly during his first two seasons on campus.

However, he’s now set to take over for Steve Sarkisian’s program as the full-time starter. And he appears to have added some serious muscle to his frame.

Photos show a noticeable difference in Arch Manning’s physique heading into spring ball.

Arch Manning appears to have added some serious muscle to his frame, as both his upper half and his lower half look to be more chiseled and muscular.

The Texas Longhorns starting quarterback showed off his new frame during his team’s pro day this week. Unsurprisingly, NFL teams had serious interest in speaking with Arch Manning, even if he’s not draft eligible right now.

Arch Manning looks more confident on the field, too, as he’s added muscle ahead of his first season as Texas’ starting quarterback.

Arch Manning, unlike his uncles, likes to run the football, too. Some of his best plays early on in his college football career have come via rushing the football. So, it’s important for Arch Manning to be big enough to handle the hits that will come when running against a powerful SEC defense.

The former five-star recruit appears to have bulked up ahead of his first season as the starter – and Texas has to love seeing that.
