It sounds like the Tennessee Titans have seen all they need to see ahead of this month’s NFL Draft.
After holding a private workout with Miami’s Cam Ward, the team has reportedly “mutually agreed” to cancel its session with Shedeur Sanders after Friday’s Pro Day.
“After yesterday’s Colorado Pro Day, Titans brass met with Shedeur Sanders’ camp and the parties have agreed to cancel the upcoming private workout,” Titans.com’s Jim Wyatt reported. “The Titans have seen 4 years of game film, scouted multiple games, and now attended a Pro Day they described as very impressive.”

Even with all of that, private workouts are still seen as very important in the eyes of most NFL teams given the fact that there are things you can discover when you’re one-on-one with a prospect that you may not be able to glean in a scripted Pro Day environment.
It’s hard to imagine that this doesn’t signal that Tennessee has made it’s decision on what it wants to do with it’s No. 1 pick. Most insiders already had Ward pegged to the Titans and this just might solidify it.
With that said though, the franchise could just be trying to throw people off of their scent if they’re thinking about potentially trading back — although that seems more and more unlikely with each passing day.
Do you think the Titans know what direction they want to go in on April 24?
