Eli Manning’s Advice For Arch Manning (0:21)

The 2025 NFL Draft is set to begin in a matter of weeks, and several new members will be welcomed into the pro football family. It’s the culmination of a lifelong dream and years of hard work, as players find out where they will begin their NFL careers.

Hundreds of players are hoping to hear their names called in Green Bay in a few weeks, but some fans are already looking forward to next year’s draft.

Arch Manning is expected to be one of the top prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft after getting the chance to start this year at Texas, but there’s doubt that he would declare after one season.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, “it sounds like he certainly could be staying beyond next year.”

“I’m not a college football insider,” Schefter admitted.

“But none of the Mannings ever went out early, and I don’t know with NIL money being what it is why Arch would do that. So, all of this conversation about ‘tanking for Arch next year,’ he could be in the draft in 2027, not even next year.”

Fans are reacting to the possibility of Manning spending an additional year in college.

“Personally I’ve thought for a while now that he’s gonna go in the 2027 draft. I just don’t really see him playing just one year and leaving. About to be only 20 years old, so what’s the rush,” one fan asked.

“This dude comes from a rich family, is making a ton on NIL, with more to come if he stays an additional year. He has very few motivating factors to leave school early. Get his degree, train his body, and continue to hone his skills are all reasons to stay,” another fan said.

“Young man already makes over $5M playing in college and being the most famous teenager in Texas, he shouldn’t be in any hurry to go up, I wouldn’t,” said one fan.

“He didn’t wait two years to play one. He’ll stay until 2027,” another fan predicted.

Manning can certainly take his time when it comes to declaring for the NFL Draft. He could also have a great season at Texas this year and emerge as the clear No. 1 pick.

Both of his uncles went No. 1 overall, and many believe Arch has the potential to be the next Manning to accomplish the feat.
