His most long-term experience comes from the NFL, where he worked for over 18 years in the Dallas Cowboys’ scouting department. Fabianich spent 14 of those years as a national scout, evaluating players from different areas of the country.
During his time with the team, the Cowboys drafted 67 different Pro Bowl players to their roster. Fabianich also worked as a coach with several college programs, including Tennessee and Louisiana-Monroe before moving into scouting.
The Senior Bowl has been played annually since 1950. All editions of the game aside from the first have been played in Mobile, Alabama. It’s broadcast nationally for fans on the NFL Network, and several future NFL stars have participated.
Heisman trophy winners like Bo Jackson, Carson Palmer, Tim Tebow and Baker Mayfield all played in the Senior Bowl during their college careers.
Some of the other notable names to participate include LaDanian Tomlinson, Terrell Owens, Aaron Donald, Von Miller and Bobby Wagner.
The 2025 Senior Bowl included stars like Jaxson Dart, Jalen Milroe, Ollie Gordon, Riley Leonard and Devin Neal – all looking to make their mark before being drafted.
For more than half a century, the Senior Bowl has been an important launching pad for the careers of NFL hopefuls. As that tradition continues into a new era of college football, the game believes it has the right person in charge going forward.
We’ll see what the Senior Bowl looks like down the line as college football continues to change on what seems like a yearly basis.
