Yet here’s the kicker, with the enchantment of Brian Schottenheimer at the helm, one can not help but notice that this new brain trust has got its priorities amusingly straightforward; they’re on a quest for a dashing young running back while also pining for another wide receiver. Anyone would salivate at the opportunity to catch bombs from a QB while CeeDee Lamb’s gravity-defying sideline grabs leave everyone awestruck.
But wait, there’s more; Stephen Jones, in a statement dripping with the non-commital corporate equivocation that we’ve all grown to expect, left the doors wide open for a certain young running back, maybe a third-round discovery, one that can light a fire under the team’s ground game; the weakest link in 2024 that saw them an anemic 27th in yards per game.
