Deion Sanders Drops Political Bombshell: His Stance Will Shock You

Ever wonder what happens when the worlds of sports and politics collide? Well, here’s a scenario that might just surprise you: LEARN MORE

Deion Sanders, Colorado Band Story Isn’t True (1:28)

Deion Sanders received a shoutout from President Donald Trump on Friday night. Unsurprisingly, that led to questions about his political views.

After Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders went undrafted in the first round, Trump went on Truth Social to blast NFL teams for making a “stupid” mistake. He then explained why he believes the talented prospect will have a successful career in the pros.

At the end of Trump’s social media rant, he told Shedeur to say hello to his father for him. No, we’re not kidding.

“What is wrong with NFL owners, are they STUPID? Deion Sanders was a great college football player, and was even greater in the NFL. He’s also a very good coach, streetwise and smart,” Trump wrote. “Therefore, Shedeur, his quarterback son, has PHENOMENAL GENES, and is all set for Greatness. He should be picked IMMEDIATELY by a team that wants to WIN. Good luck Shedeur, and say hello to your wonderful father!”

Even though Coach Prime isn’t exactly someone who loves to talk about politics, he made an interesting decision in 2017 that turned heads.

Sanders announced that he was partnering with Republican billionaires David and Charles Koch to create an anti-poverty program. It was a really honorable initiative on the Hall of Famer’s part.

”You talk about a family that has one desire: to make this country a better place,” Sanders reportedly said. “To level the playing field, to inspire, encourage, motivate. And that’s what they do, and that’s who they are, and I’m thankful to be partnered with them.”

Despite receiving backlash for teaming up with Republicans, he made it clear that he was OK with his decision.

“I think I chose correctly,” Sanders added. “I’m happy where I am and who I’m with, because we share a lot of the same values and goals, and I’m thankful to be part of this team.”

Sanders didn’t say anything publicly about the 2024 presidential election. We can’t say the same thing about his daughter, Deiondra. She posted this message on Instagram after Trump won: “No matter who is president, Jesus is King.”

Barring a sudden change of heart, it seems like the Sanders family has zero beef with President Trump.
