Shocking Playoff Numbers Suggest Taurean Prince’s Future Could Be at Risk—What’s Really Going On?
Picture this: the Milwaukee Bucks are staring down the barrel of a nearly impossible comeback in the playoffs, and everyone’s eyes are glued to Giannis—naturally. But what about the sidekicks? More specifically, Taurean Prince, who’s been about as effective as a snowball in a heatwave. The numbers don’t lie: ice-cold all postseason, and with Damian Lillard sidelined, the Bucks’ fate might just hinge on whether Prince can snap out of this funk. Is this the moment he shakes off the ghosts of playoff past, or are we watching the slow unraveling of what looked like a promising addition? Either way, the clock’s ticking, and Milwaukee’s playoff hopes are hanging by a thread…

If they wish to rebound and have some sort of chance to win their opening round in the playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks will need every player to dig deep and contribute a lot.
That means Taurean Prince will have to deliver a complete turnaround.
NBACentral pointed out that Prince has been ice-cold in the playoffs so far.
He hasn’t scored a single point in three of the four games of the postseason and only put up six points in Game 2.
Prince hasn’t been helping at all, and the Bucks need him now more than ever.

This is Prince’s first season with the Bucks, and he has generally been a help for the team.
He averaged 8.2 points and 3.6 rebounds during his 80 games of the regular season.
But for whatever reason, he has looked night-and-day different in the playoffs.
Because of that, head coach Doc Rivers has limited his minutes.
During his 80 games in 2024-25, Prince averaged 27.1 minutes per game.
But during the playoffs, that number has dipped down to 14.3 minutes.
The Bucks just got the bad news that Damian Lillard will be out for the rest of the season with a torn Achilles.
The situation for Milwaukee already looked bad before Lillard’s injury, but now things are even more bleak.
Coming back from a 3-1 deficit is incredibly difficult and it’ll be all but impossible unless everyone beyond Giannis Antetokounmpo chips in.
Prince simply isn’t doing enough, and that’s just not going to cut it for the Bucks, especially with the situation they are in right now.
Sadly, he may have only one more chance to show what he is capable of because if the Bucks lose again, their season is officially over.
