Two people have died in an “awful” crash involving a college football player.

At least two children have died and several people have been injured in a crash involving a college football player. A vehicle crashed in Largo, Florida on Saturday. The crash happened early on Saturday afternoon.

One of the drivers involved in the crash was University of Miami football player, Adarius Hayes.

A Dodge Durango was driving south when it collided with a Kia Soul, killing multiple people – tragically, both children.

According to the Largo Police Department, around 1:45 p.m., officers responded to the scene at Orangeview Drive and Ridge Road.

An investigation revealed that a Dodge Durango was driving south when it collided with a Kia Soul that was making a left turn.

Two children, a 10-year-old and a 4-year-old, died at the scene.

One of the people involved in the crash spoke out.

“I was the first one out. And when it happened, I was the first one out here. And immediately I started calling for somebody call 911 because there was a child, I kept saying his baby,” the anonymous figure said.

“This all happened because the hot rod in this road all the time. We come down here and they’re raising the car or you’re speeding here, come through here at 60, 70, 80 miles an hour even, and many times we call the police. No, there’s nothing. Not much changes.”
