Breaking: Shocking Twist in President Trump’s College Sports Commission Decision Revealed
Earlier this month, Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger reported that Donald Trump planned to start a presidential commission to address key issues in college sports. Nick Saban and Texas Tech board chair Cody Campbell were believed to lead a group that would also feature prominent college sports stakeholders and businesspeople.
On Thursday, Dellenger reported that the White House is pausing the commission. The roadblock could be connected to the Senate currently negotiating a bill.
“It is unclear how long the pause will extend, except to potentially give five U.S. senators, led by Ted Cruz and Cory Booker, more time to possibly reach an agreement on federal legislation,” Dellenger wrote. “The senators have met multiple times over the last four months, but hurdles remain.”
