Looking back, the Braves dropped their last series with the A’s down in Sacramento. Their lone victory was a 9-2 blowout, with Elder nearly pitching a gem—seven innings, seven strikeouts, and just two runs allowed. Clean it up a bit in that department, and a reprise would be mighty appreciated.
So, can Atlanta’s hot start continue with another series-opening win? Will Oakland rebound from their rough trip to Toronto with a spark tonight? I’m rooting for the Braves to keep rolling—let’s cross our fingers for a tightly fought battle under the lights at Truist Park.
