There are roster teardowns… and then there is what the Sun did.
The entire starting five from last seasonâs playoff semifinalist is gone. Their head coach, Stephanie White, left to coach the Fever. And their best remaining player, Marina Mabrey, made a trade request in the offseason that was denied.
It all adds up to a completely new team that will be led by coach Rachid Meziane, who comes over from Franceâs Ligue Feminine, where he guided the league’s 2024 championship squad.
