CBS News Strikes Back: The Unexpected Response That Has Bill Belichick Reeling
Later on Wednesday, CBS News released its own statement denying that they agreed beforehand to only discuss Belichick’s book.
“When we agreed to speak with Mr. Belichick, it was for a wide-ranging interview,” CBS News said. “There were no preconditions or limitations to this conversation. This was confirmed repeatedly with his publisher before the interview took place and after it was completed.”
Belichick claimed Dokoupil brought up other topics multiple times before Hudson “stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion.”
