Christian Braun Hints at Bold Comeback Plan After Crushing Clippers Defeat—What’s Next for the Nuggets?
There’s something almost cruel about watching a team get knocked down so hard they’re left staggering, wheezing for air, and wondering if they’ll ever catch a break again. That’s exactly the sour taste the Denver Nuggets were left to swallow after a humbling 117-83 drubbing at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers. And here’s the kicker — with injury clouds hanging over key players like Russell Westbrook and Michael Porter Jr., the question now isn’t just how the Nuggets bounce back, but whether they even can. Can a squad bruised both physically and mentally muster the grit to claw their way back into this series come Saturday? Christian Braun’s words – raw, urgent, almost pleading – hint at a resilience that’s yet to be proven. If Saturday’s Game 4 is any indication, the Nuggets’ playoff dreams may hang by a thread… or maybe it’s just the beginning of a comeback story nobody saw coming. Either way, the hardwood drama is far from over.

The Denver Nuggets were easily taken care of by the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night, and now their hopes of reaching the next round of the playoffs are in doubt.
They can rebound on Saturday and pull off a comeback win, but it’ll require health and a lot of planning.
Following the 117-83 loss to Los Angeles on Thursday, Christian Braun talked with ESPN about how much he wants to bounce back.
“I wish it was faster. I don’t want to think about this one anymore,” Braun said after the game. “We’ll be ready. We just got punched in the mouth and you have to respond. You can’t roll over. You can’t complain. Like I said, I wish the game was earlier. I wish we could respond earlier.”
Like Braun said, this was definitely a punch in the face for the Nuggets.
Not only did they get outplayed up and down the court, but they saw Russell Westbrook get injured, and Michael Porter Jr. is still nursing a shoulder problem.
It’s not clear what the roster will look like when Game 4 rolls around on Saturday, but the Clippers have made it clear that they won’t go easy on Denver.
Braun posted nine points, six rebounds, and one assist during the game.
He was one of several Nuggets stars who weren’t able to crack double digits, and he is hoping to change that with the next game.
The team has a lot to prove on Saturday.
If they fight hard and score a win, they will still be in this series.
But if they fall again, they will be down 3-1, and their chances of advancing will be almost completely dashed.
