Clemson Secures Game-Changing 2026 Commitment: Four-Star Center Will Stevens Set to Ignite Tigers' Future

Clemson basketball just made a power move by securing its first recruit for the 2026 class—Will Stevens, a four-star center who’s turning heads in North Carolina. Standing tall at 6-foot-10 and weighing in at 200 pounds, Stevens hails from Davidson Day School and carries some serious clout, ranked No. 3 in the state and No. 141 nationally according to 247Sports. After an impressive junior year averaging 12 points, nearly seven rebounds, and solid defensive stats, he picked the Tigers over Vanderbilt, announcing his commitment in a slick reveal on CBS Sports’ Instagram. This signing isn’t just a win for Clemson; it comes on the heels of Brad Brownell’s contract extension and reflects a strategic push to reload after last season’s losses, bolstered by savvy additions from both the transfer portal and the high school ranks. The Tigers are clearly plotting to make a serious run at their third consecutive NCAA tournament berth, and Stevens’ arrival is the first step in that ambitious journey. LEARN MORE.

Clemson basketball landed its first player in the 2026 class with the commitment of four-star center Will Stevens on Oct. 11.

The 6-foot-10, 200-pound big from Davidson Day School in Davidson, North Carolina, is rated as the No. 3 player in the state and the No. 141 player nationally by the 247Sports composite rankings.

Stevens, who visited Clemson in August, chose the Tigers over Vanderbilt and announced his decision on CBS Sports college basketball Instagram page.. He averaged 12 points, 6.8 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in his junior season.
