Over 130 schools will be competing in the FBS next season. But if you ask Colin Cowherd, only five of them are ready to win a national championship.
On Wednesday’s edition of The Herd, Cowherd made the case that only five teams are in his “National Championship Bubble.” Just missing the list were Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame, who he expects will just miss out on truly contending.
As for the five teams he has in the bubble, he has Big Ten juggernauts Ohio State, Oregon and Penn State along with SEC powerhouses Georgia and Texas. He is currently picking Penn State to take on Texas for the national title.
