Dallas Cowboys fans were frustrated, shocked, and overall disappointed when Micah Parsons was traded to the Green Bay Packers.

Parsons was in contract disagreements with the Cowboys for weeks, eventually becoming disgruntled with the organization and wanting out.

Their loss was the Packers’ gain, as they now have one of the best defenders in the league on their team, and he’s already proven to be a human wrecking ball, of sorts.

Leaving the Cowboys might have been the best possible career move for Parsons, which is what Colin Cowherd indicated in a recent segment of his show.

“Some people are just too talented to mire in dysfunction. And that’s what Dallas is. Micah Parsons, in this deal, should have absolutely no regrets. He is leaving dysfunction and an average roster and an average staff and upgrading across the board,” Cowherd said

In Cowherd’s mind, Parsons is far too talented to waste his talents on a team that isn’t going anywhere, which is the predicament he saw him in during his time with the Cowboys.

The Cowboys are a historic franchise, of course, with a rich history of winning, but it’s been quite a while since the team made it to the mountaintop.

The Packers, on the other hand, have had a lot more success in recent seasons, and they were already a roster that many believed could compete for the Super Bowl this season.

Their outlook is a lot more positive with Parsons on the roster, and things should continue to look positive for the Packers as he begins to play a higher snap percentage.

It will certainly be interesting to watch Parsons’ return to Dallas on Sunday Night Football, and if he’ll be extra motivated to have a big game against his former team.
