College Football Announcer’s Sudden Exit from Social Media Sparks Intense Speculation
“There’s no need for Guaranteed slots for any Conference,” Brando wrote. “The Big Ten and SEC already have all the metrics on their side.”
Brando has spent the last decade calling college football and basketball for FOX. He’s previously covered the NBA on TNT, SEC football and the NFL on CBS, and anchored ESPN’s SportsCenter.
The 69-year-old is married with two daughters (Tiffany and Tara) and four grandchildren. Brando has the summer before returning to duty for FOX.
Perhaps Brando will stay away from social media longer than Kirk Herbstreit. In January, the ESPN broadcaster claimed that he had deleted his social media and let others post on his behalf. Weeks after calling X “ridiculous,” he said it’s “great” and claimed he merely took a break.
