Nonetheless, Garvin compares Concepcion to Edelman, who carved out a very nice little career with New England under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. The two wideouts have a similar frame; KC is listed at 5-foot-11 and 196 pounds, slightly bigger than Edelman. Versatility is also a big factor in the comp; Concepcion can also do a lot over the middle of the field.
Harmon counters that Concepcion is much faster than Edelman but Garvin says that it’s more about the role the receiver plays and not the physical tools. Concepcion isn’t coming into the NFL to be the next Ja’Marr Chase and push defenders vertically.
