Could Patriots’ Bold Move for Rising Tackle Prospect Change Their Season Forever?
The Patriots showing serious interest in the 6-foot-6, 321-pound lineman is no surprise. Not only is the offensive tackle position a need, as mentioned above, Iheanachor himself also is a player on the rise who very well could come into play at No. 31 overall in next month’s draft.
Born in Nigeria, he moved to the United States at age 13 and played basketball and soccer growing up. In fact, he did not play football until his first season at East Los Angeles College. After two seasons at the JUCO level, Iheanachor joined Arizona State as a three-star recruit. While still learning the intricacies of the position and the game as a whole, he started 31 of the 32 games he appeared in between 2023 and 2025.
Iheanachor is one of 13 reported pre-draft visits with the Patriots so far.
