Dabo, whose legal name is William Swinney, said he tried to vote in the election but when he got to his polling place, he was told he couldn’t receive a ballot.
“They done voted me out of the state,” Swinney joked. “We’re 6-2 and 5-1, man. They done shipped me off.”
Poll workers said the system indicated Swinney had already voted. The coach said the mix-up came from his oldest son, also named William Swinney, who voted last week.
