Dak Prescott’s Mysterious Hip Injury: What It Means for the Season Ahead

So, here we go—Brian Schottenheimer just dropped a bit of a bombshell at the Cowboys’ Wednesday press gig. The big headline? Dak Prescott is making his way onto the injury report. Yeah, the guy took a few knocks during the last game—nothing earth-shattering, but enough to leave him a tad sore in the hip department. Schottenheimer didn’t spill the beans on how much the QB will actually push through in practice, but he promised they’re gonna handle things with kid gloves. Given Dak’s stellar outing against the Raiders—25 completions on 33 tryouts, throwing up 268 yards and four touchdowns—one can’t help but hope he’s primed for another roaring performance when the Eagles come to town in Week 12. Fingers crossed there are no curveballs between now and then! LEARN MORE

Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer opened up his Wednesday press conference by announcing that a significant name will appear on the team’s injury report.

Quarterback Dak Prescott will be on the report because Schottenheimer said he got “banged around a little bit in the game” and is “a little sore.” Prescott will be listed with a hip injury.

Schottenheimer did not say exactly how much work Prescott will do during the session, but said “we’ll be real smart with the tempo” and said the injury is “nothing major.”

Prescott was 25-of-33 for 268 yards and four touchdowns in Monday’s 33-17 win over the Raiders. Barring any negative developments, he should be ready to try for a similar performance in the team’s Week 12 home game against the Eagles.
