Deion Sanders announced on Monday that he was diagnosed with cancer earlier this spring.
The legendary NFL star turned college football head coach, 57, announced that he had been diagnosed with bladder cancer. Thankfully, his doctors caught it early enough for it to be treated. Sanders underwent bladder surgery and he has been declared cancer-free.Â
“It was dynamic. It was tough. It wasn’t a cakewalk. It wasn’t easy,” Coach Prime, who added he lost about 25 pounds, told reporters on Monday afternoon. “That was a fight, but we made it.”
