Deion Sanders’ Unexpected Move After Injury Shocks Colorado Fans and Reveals Hidden Depths
On Tuesday, senior running back Charlie Offerdahl stood in front of the team and revealed that he’s retiring due to the numerous head injuries he’s sustained and that he’ll now be pursuing a dental degree.
Offerdahl, a former walk-on, earned a scholarship in Sanders’ first year at CU; and Coach Prime will see to it that that continues.
“I love him, he deserves it,” Deion said as he gave Charlie a hug. “I wish to God that we just had 11 players with what he has inside of him and what makes him who he is. … Charlie never had a bad day. Always came to work, came to play and [he was] raised wonderfully. I love you man and I appreciate you, OK. We’re gonna take care of you.”
