Diego Pavia Uncovers Shocking 2024 Auburn Football Warning Hugh Freeze Overlooked—What It Means for the Season
Hugh Freeze had his fair share of problems as the Auburn football coach, but among the most persistent was Diego Pavia.
Before even becoming the Tigers’ coach, Freeze, when he was at Liberty, lost to Pavia and his New Mexico State team in 2022. Then, in each of his first two seasons on the Plains, Freeze lost to Pavia, who beat Auburn 31-10 with the Aggies before taking down the Tigers 17-7 the following season after transferring to Vanderbilt. Pavia defeated Auburn for a third consecutive year in 2025, although the Commodores’ 45-38 overtime win came less than a week after Freeze had been fired.
