ESPN’s First Football Power Index Rankings Drop — Which Surprising Team Cracked the Top 5?

  13. Ole Miss
  14. Auburn
  15. South Carolina
  16. Oklahoma
  17. Michigan
  18. Florida
  19. USC
  20. SMU
  21. Kansas State
  22. Arkansas
  23. Missouri
  24. Arizona State
  25. Nebraska

As always the field has a pretty overpowering SEC flavor. 13 of the conference’s 16 members made the top 25, including the entire top-three. The Big Ten showed up in a fairly big way too with six teams in the top 25, three of whom made the top-six.
